Title: The Cognitive-Motivational Bias Matrix (CMBM): Introducing the Supermind Framework for Understanding Systematic Thinking Errors

This academic paper introduces a comprehensive framework for understanding and classifying cognitive biases. The CMBM organizes biases along two dimensions: cognitive functions (perception, memory, reasoning, decision-making, emotion, social cognition, and metacognition) and motivational drivers (cognitive economy, coherence maintenance, self-concept preservation, social belonging, emotional regulation, uncertainty reduction, and risk-reward optimization).
This research serves as the theoretical foundation for our Supermind coaching approach, revealing the deeper patterns behind systematic thinking errors and providing a roadmap to more effective decision-making. By understanding both how and why cognitive biases operate, we develop more precise interventions for overcoming limitations in personal and organizational thinking.
